How much does physical appearance influence our online dating decisions? What if we could use our other senses to help us decide who to date? I decided to address the conundrum of visual bias in online dating by developing a prototype app called Smlove. Smlove shifts the focus of online dating profiles from photos and written bios to the way potential matches sound and their scent aesthetic in order to create more meaningful relationships.
